Kernel memory read via unterminated length list
Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in the Linux qede driver and Siemens RUGGEDCOM RST2428P before 4.0 allows attackers to read adjacent kernel memory. The qede_tpa_cont() and qede_tpa_end() loops trust a zero-length sentinel in cqe->len_list[] and can iterate beyond that fixed-size array. Exploitation requires the qede driver and malformed receive-completion metadata; public advisories do not explain how attackers create that state or expose the read.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
