Authenticated code execution via unsafe URL evaluation
Published Apr 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2025
Code injection in WebArena 0.1 through 0.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute Python code through a crafted evaluation URL. HTMLContentEvaluator removes the func prefix, substitutes page.url into the target expression, and passes the result to Python eval without restricting permitted code. Low-privileged access to supply the evaluation target is required, and injected code runs with the evaluator process's privileges.
