Kernel crash via unchecked allocation error pointer

Invalid-pointer dereference in affected Linux kernels allows attackers to crash the kernel during a V4L2 subdevice state operation. The v4l2_subdev_call_state_try() macro passes an unchecked ERR_PTR from __v4l2_subdev_state_alloc() into subsequent state handling. The public record identifies no attacker-controlled call path; the crash requires the state allocation to return an error pointer.
