Unauthenticated crawl-source creation via unguarded addCrawlSource
Published Apr 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2025
Missing authentication in Novel-Plus allows remote attackers to create crawl sources through its exposed HTTP endpoint. The addCrawlSource handler accepts POST requests without an access-control check before persisting caller-supplied crawler configuration. No account is required, and exploitation changes crawler configuration; the separately disclosed testParse SSRF behavior is outside this CVE.
