An uninitialized-value access in Linux Squashfs from 2.6.29 allows local users with CAP_DAC_READ_SEARCH to trigger unspecified impact. Squashfs_get_parent reads the uninitialized parent field when an open_by_handle_at file handle names a symbolic-link inode instead of a directory. Reaching the path requires the privileged syscall capability and a Squashfs mount; the Linux kernel team has not published a more specific consequence.
