Kernel crash via deferred simplefb cleanup

Use-after-free in the simplefb driver in Linux 6.8 causes a kernel crash during framebuffer-device teardown on affected systems. Devres-managed power-domain cleanup retains struct simplefb_par after unregister_framebuffer() frees its enclosing struct fb_info, so simplefb_detach_genpds() later dereferences freed memory. The failure was reproduced during conflicting-aperture removal on an M2 Mac mini running an Asahi kernel with Debian configuration; no attacker-controlled trigger or impact beyond the demonstrated crash has been published.
