Local privilege escalation via Binder bitmap double-free
Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025
Double-free in the Binder dbitmap code in Linux 6.11 and later allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through Binder operations. When dbitmap_grow() cannot allocate a larger proc->dmap, dbitmap_free() releases the old bitmap without clearing proc->map, so process teardown frees the allocation again. A local low-privileged process with Binder-device access can escalate privileges or panic the kernel.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
