Authenticated SQL injection via concatenated cat_id
Published Apr 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2025
SQL injection in api.php in Code Projects News Publishing Site Dashboard 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The endpoint directly concatenates the unfiltered cat_id query parameter into an SQL statement, allowing supplied syntax to change the statement. A valid low-privilege session is required; injected SQL operates within the database account's permissions and exposes stored data to reading or modification.
