Stored script execution via unescaped shortcode output
Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in UIUX Lab Uix Shortcodes 2.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via crafted shortcode content. Shortcode rendering fails to apply attribute escaping and HTML filtering to user-controlled properties before storing and emitting them in page output. Low-privileged content submission is required, and the script runs when another user views the affected page, enabling actions in that viewer's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
