Administrator SQL injection via image-status identifiers
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
SQL injection in TeamUpdraft WP-Optimize before 4.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via image-status requests. The updraft_smush_ajax handler uses selected_images identifiers from get_smush_details and mark_as_compressed in SQL queries without sufficient escaping or preparation. A WordPress multisite administrator session and valid Smush nonce are required; injected query fragments can disclose data or delay queries.
