Authenticated remote code execution
Published Apr 25, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Remote code execution in affected Commvault Web Server releases allows remote authenticated users to create and execute web shells. Commvault has not published the vulnerable endpoint or the input-handling error that permits a logged-in user to place and execute a web shell. Exploitation requires valid Commvault credentials and network access to the web server, and successful attacks execute attacker-controlled code on that server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
