IEC 61850 denial of service in Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X SYS600 10.5 through 10.6 allows remote authenticated users to cause a disconnection loop. The IEC 61850 interface improperly validates crafted IEC 61850-8 message content from an IED or remote system before processing it. Network access to the IEC 61850 interface and low privileges are required; successful exploitation repeatedly disconnects communications.
