Code execution via malicious SSD project file
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Power Build - Rapsody 2.7.12 FR and earlier allows local users to execute code. SSD project-file handling writes attacker-controlled content beyond a stack buffer; Schneider Electric has not identified the affected parser or operation. Exploitation requires an end user to open an attacker-supplied SSD file, after which code runs in the application's security context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
