Stored script injection via missing nonce validation
Published Apr 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in the 1 Decembrie 1918 WordPress plugin 1.dec.2012 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts. The 1-decembrie-1918/1-decembrie-1918.php settings page accepts state-changing requests without valid nonce verification and saves attacker-controlled script content. Exploitation requires an administrator to submit a forged request, after which the saved script executes in a viewer's browser.
