Authenticated profile-image modification via unchecked user ID
Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Authorization bypass in CodeCanyon RISE Ultimate Project Manager 3.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter other users' profile images. The save_profile_image endpoint accepts a target user ID from the URL and updates that account's image without verifying that the caller is authorized for the target. Any authenticated account can replace another user's profile image, affecting profile-data integrity and enabling visual impersonation or user confusion.
