Kernel panic via misreported INVLPGB capability
Published Aug 16, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Denial of service in Linux 6.15 through 6.15.6 allows local users to trigger a kernel oops or panic during an INVLPGB TLB flush. On AMD Cyan Skillfish Family 17h Model 47h Stepping 0h, misconfigured CPUID advertises INVLPGB, so x86 CPU initialization retains an unsafe capability flag. Local low-privileged access and that exact processor are required; triggering the path interrupts the host without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
