Kernel crash via unchecked md bitmap superblock

Improper input validation in Linux md-bitmap statistics allows local users to crash the kernel by reading the affected procfs entry. bitmap_get_stats() checks for a valid superblock only for internal bitmaps, then accesses statistics for an invalid bitmap with neither internal nor external storage. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, an MD array in that invalid bitmap state, and a statistics read.
