CVE-2025-3820Network attack vector

Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded host IP values

Published Apr 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 21, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W12 and i24 3.0.0.4(2887) and 3.0.0.5(3644) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory. The cgiSysUplinkCheckSet handler in /bin/httpd fails to bound hostIp1 and hostIp2 values before storing them in a stack buffer. Low-privilege access to the web management path is required; the record identifies memory corruption but does not publish a specific post-overflow outcome.
