Contributor-level stored XSS via _elementor_data handling
Published May 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Royal Addons for Elementor 1.7.1020 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via _elementor_data. The form-submission code in classes/modules/forms/wpr-submissions-cpt.php stores the parameter without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes in the WordPress origin when a user visits an injected page.
