Stored script execution via unsanitized profile data
Published Apr 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in LECMS 3.0.0 through 3.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via saved profile data. The /admin profile editor stores an image tag containing an event handler without neutralization, and a later post view renders the saved value as active markup. Administrative access is required to save the payload, and another user's browser must view content that reuses the profile value; the demonstrated impact is script execution in that browser.
