Authenticated code execution via rebootDate stack overflow
Published Apr 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
Stack overflow in Tenda W12 and i24 3.0.0.4(2887) and 3.0.0.5(3644) allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The /bin/httpd cgiSysScheduleRebootSet handler accepts an oversized rebootDate value without enforcing the destination stack buffer's length. Low-privileged access to the web management interface is required; successful exploitation executes code in the device context or crashes httpd.
