CVE-2025-38007

Kernel crash via unchecked allocation failure

Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated May 23, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel HID uclogic driver allows local users to crash the kernel during tablet input setup. uclogic_input_configured() assigns the unchecked devm_kasprintf() result as the input device name, leaving NULL to be dereferenced when allocation fails. Reachability requires a supported UC-Logic-compatible HID tablet to be configured while the name allocation fails; the bounded consequence is a kernel crash.
