Database read and modification via concatenated registration parameters
Published Apr 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
SQL injection in WCMS 11 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data through crafted registration email or username values. The anonymous/setregister route passes insufficiently filtered values through MemberModel::addMember to Db::add, which concatenates them into SQL statements and executes them directly. No prior privileges are required, but the published evidence establishes database access rather than host-code execution.
