Memory corruption via misclassified kexec reboot

Memory corruption in Linux smartpqi 6.12 through 6.12.24 and 6.13 through 6.14.3 allows local users to corrupt memory after a kexec reboot. The driver treats reset_devices as a kdump indicator and writes its log to memory reserved for a crash kernel even during an ordinary kexec. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access, an affected kernel with smartpqi, and a kexec reboot; the write can corrupt reused system memory.
