CVE-2025-37944

Crash or corruption via wrong ring accessor

Published May 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in affected Linux kernel releases allows physically proximate attackers to corrupt data or crash the kernel. The ath12k_dp_mon_srng_process function fetches a destination-ring entry with the source-ring accessor, causing incorrect pointer arithmetic and invalid memory access. The flaw is confined to systems using the affected ath12k Wi-Fi path, and successful triggering can corrupt kernel memory or interrupt the host through a crash.
