Stored script execution via unneutralized area name
Published Apr 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 18, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Baseweb JSite 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through an area name. The /a/sys/area/save endpoint stores the Name form parameter for the regional-management interface without neutralizing HTML or JavaScript. An authenticated institutional account and later viewing of the saved region are required, enabling script execution in that viewer's browser.
