Authenticated code execution via spoofed upload MIME type
Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Web-based Pharmacy Product Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP. The edit-product.php handler trusts the client-controlled Avatar MIME type, omits extension and content validation, and retains the supplied filename under uploadImage. A logged-in user can submit a PHP payload labeled as an allowed image type, then request its predictable path to run code on the server.
