Stored XSS via unsanitized link titles
Published Jun 30, 2025 · Updated Jun 30, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in WP Lightbox 2 before 3.0.6.8 allows remote attackers to execute script through crafted link titles. The plugin copies a link's title attribute into the lightbox display without correctly sanitizing attacker-controlled markup. Anonymous comment access or post-authoring access supplies the stored link, and script execution requires another user to click it.
