Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2025
Stored XSS in dFactory Responsive Lightbox & Gallery before 2.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a crafted caption. With prettyPhoto selected, the plugin emits the data-rl_caption value into a page without validating or escaping it, allowing an injected image error handler to run. Contributor access is required to save the crafted post, and another user must click the lightbox link while viewing or previewing it.
