Observable response discrepancy in ESET PROTECT On-Prem allows attackers to identify valid user accounts through response timing. ESET identifies response timing as the mechanism but has not published the affected request, code path, or timing operation. Unauthenticated attackers must have adjacent-network access; the disclosed result is account-name discovery, not credential compromise.
