Unrecoverable denial of service via boot-data deletion
Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025
Denial of service in HPE ArubaOS 8.10, 8.12, 8.13, 10.4, and 10.7 allows local users to render appliances unbootable. An AOS firmware binary permits an authenticated administrator to delete boot information required for startup. High-privilege local access is required, and successful exploitation leaves hardware replacement as the only recovery path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.4.0.0 <=10.4.1.8
- Affected versionversion=10.7.0.0 <=10.7.1.1
- Affected versionversion=8.10.0.0 <=8.10.0.18
- Affected versionversion=8.12.0.0 <=8.12.0.5
