Privileged command execution via CLI binary injection
Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025
Command injection in the ArubaOS AOS-8 CLI binary allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands with privileged access. HPE identifies the CLI binary as the vulnerable locus but does not disclose which argument is insufficiently neutralized or how it reaches command execution. Access to the authenticated controller CLI with high privileges is required, and successful exploitation compromises the underlying operating system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.4.0.0 <=10.4.1.8
