Authenticated service disruption via arbitrary process termination
Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025
Improper privilege management in the EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateway web API allows remote authenticated users to terminate running processes. HPE has not disclosed the affected API endpoint or how it authorizes process-selection and termination requests. A low-privileged authenticated account and user interaction are required; successful use can stop arbitrary processes and leave the appliance unstable, with no reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=9.4.0.0 <=9.4.3.7
- Affected versionversion=9.5.0.0 <=9.5.3.6
