Unauthenticated firewall bypass exposing protected traffic
Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025
Broken access control in EdgeConnect OS 9.4.0.0 through 9.4.3.7 and 9.5.0.0 through 9.5.3.6 allows remote attackers to bypass its firewall. HPE has not disclosed the affected firewall-configuration locus or the access-control operation that mishandles untrusted network traffic. No authentication or user interaction is required; the bypass exposes traffic that the gateway should reject, with reported confidentiality impact only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
