Unauthenticated firewall bypass via transit traffic misrouting
Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025
Firewall bypass in HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateway allows remote attackers to route traffic into internal networks. HPE identifies transit-traffic handling at the SD-WAN edge interface as the locus but has not disclosed the packet condition or routing decision that bypasses firewall enforcement. The path is unauthenticated and network-reachable; versions 9.4.0.0 through 9.4.3.7 and 9.5.0.0 through 9.5.3.6 can admit harmful traffic, expose internal resources, or interrupt services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=9.4.0.0 <=9.4.3.7
- Affected versionversion=9.5.0.0 <=9.5.3.6
