CVE-2025-37096Network attack vector

Root code execution via getServerCertificate system call

Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Command injection in HPE StoreOnce Software before 4.3.11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through getServerCertificate. The getServerCertificate method passes an improperly validated user-supplied string to a system call, enabling injected commands. Exploitation requires authentication, but the authentication mechanism can be bypassed, and successful commands run with root privileges.
