CVE-2025-37095Network attack vector

Root-context file disclosure via unvalidated path

Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Directory traversal in HPE StoreOnce Software before 4.3.11 allows remote attackers to read sensitive files through getServerPayload. The method uses a user-supplied path in file operations without validating that the resolved path remains in an authorized directory. Although authentication is nominally required, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed; successful reads occur in root context.
