CVE-2025-3705

Full device control via malicious USB configuration

Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025

OS command injection in Frauscher FDS101, FDS-SNMP101, and FDS102 allows physically proximate attackers to gain full device control. The configuration loader passes unneutralized special elements from a malicious configuration file into an operating-system command when reading it from a USB drive. Physical access to an affected railway diagnostic appliance and insertion of the crafted USB drive are required; successful execution permits arbitrary commands with control of the device.
