CVE-2025-36937Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via incorrect audio bounds check

Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in the Android kernel allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted AoC audio produce request. AudioDecoder::HandleProduceRequest in audio_decoder.cc applies an incorrect bounds check before writing output, allowing the write to extend beyond its destination buffer. No authentication, prior privileges, or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants code execution on an affected Pixel device.
