Authenticated memory corruption via cgiWifiRadioSet stack overflow
Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W12 3.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory through the web interface. The cgiWifiRadioSet handler in /bin/httpd accepts an oversized request value and writes beyond its stack buffer; the disclosure omits the parameter and exact copy operation. Low-privileged management access is required, and the resulting process corruption can terminate the HTTP service or alter its control flow.
