CVE-2025-36922

Kernel privilege escalation via stale IOMMU object

Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025

Use-after-free in Google Android's gChip IOMMU component allows local users with System privileges to escalate to kernel privilege. The bigo_map function in bigo_iommu.c accesses an object after its lifetime ends, exposing stale kernel memory during IOMMU mapping. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges and no user interaction; Google has not published the private bug or patch details.
