Memory corruption in Microsoft .NET 6.0 before 6.0.36 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted file. The msdia140.dll component mishandles an integer calculation while processing file data, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. Exploitation requires a user to load the crafted file in Visual Studio, after which code runs in that user's security context.
