Unauthenticated Wi-Fi password modification via missing authorization
Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Improper access control in TOTOLINK A3700R 9.1.2u.5822_B20200513 allows remote attackers to change Wi-Fi passwords. The setWiFiEasyCfg and setWiFiEasyGuestCfg handlers in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi apply password-setting requests without enforcing authorization. A network-reachable management interface is sufficient; exploitation changes wireless configuration, with no reported data disclosure or service interruption.
