CVE-2025-36535Network attack vector

Unauthenticated configuration changes via exposed web server

Published May 21, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025

Missing authentication in the embedded web server of AutomationDirect MB-GATEWAY allows remote attackers to alter gateway configuration. The HTTP service on fixed port 80 exposes every configuration screen without performing an authentication or access-control check. Network reachability alone is sufficient; unrestricted changes can disrupt gateway operations or, depending on exposed functions, execute arbitrary code.
