Arbitrary file overwrite via attacker-controlled log path
Published Jun 13, 2025 · Updated Jun 13, 2025
External file-path control in RICOH Streamline NX V3 PC Client 3.5.0 through 3.242.0 allows remote attackers to overwrite files. The Save Log File behavior accepts a file name or path from a specially crafted network request and writes log data to that attacker-selected location. No authentication or user interaction is required; arbitrary file overwrite can corrupt data or interrupt client operation, but no direct disclosure is reported.
