CVE-2025-3648Network attack vector

Unauthorized data inference via ACL-gated range queries

Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Aug 19, 2025

Insufficient access control in ServiceNow Now Platform Aspen allows remote attackers to infer restricted instance data via range queries. Conditional ACL evaluation permits range-query responses to reveal whether protected values satisfy attacker-chosen bounds instead of enforcing sufficiently granular authorization. The issue is reachable without authentication or by authenticated users only when affected conditional ACL configurations govern the queried data.
