Authenticated service interruption via RPSCAN query handling
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Denial of service in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. When RPSCAN is enabled, Db2 improperly neutralizes special elements in data-query logic; IBM has not disclosed the affected code path or failure mode. A valid database account and network access are required, and the reported consequence is limited to availability loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=11.5.0 <=11.5.9
