Authenticated service interruption via crafted federated query
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Denial of service in IBM Db2 Federated server 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The Federated server fails to neutralize special elements in a crafted data query; IBM withholds the affected operation and replication details. Low-privileged network access is sufficient to submit the query, but IBM has not disclosed whether the interruption is a crash or hang.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
