Authenticated service interruption via crafted QGM subqueries
Published Jan 30, 2026 · Updated Jan 30, 2026
Resource-exhaustion denial of service in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the server. Queries containing QGM objects with specific subquery expressions cause unbounded or unthrottled resource allocation during query processing. A valid database account and crafted query are required; IBM has not disclosed the affected function, resource type, or whether interruption is a hang or crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
