Authorization bypass in IBM Db2 Server 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. With cataloged remote storage aliases enabled, Db2 accepts a user-controlled key without enforcing the required authorization check; IBM has withheld the affected function and reproduction steps. The issue is reachable over the network with low privileges only on Linux servers using that specific object-storage configuration, and it permits unauthorized command execution with confidentiality and integrity impact.
